Realizing
the will of God
How did I realize the will of God?
In
the year 2005 when I got small job, at first I thought God has opened a way for
me to serve Him in a different way, and I said that “it must be the will of God”.
But gradually something begin to disturb me and I did not find peace of mind. I
was fully dedicated in my job where my superiors and colleagues were in fact
happy with me. I was earning and can support my family. At times there were
enjoyments too especially many exposures and training's however those things
could not satisfy me fully. Something was missing in my life. As the years goes
by God spoke to me through some prophets that I must give up my job and serve
God as full time minister in the Church. To cut short the story I quit my job in
June 2011. The moment I quit my job I felt peace of mind deep within. I did not
even bother how much I was earning, I am very much content with what I have.
That is how I realize the will of God in my life.
Many
times we plan things in our own way and blame God for the failure. We go in our
own way or do things without knowing what God intended us to do or to be. We
have a tendency of saying “must be the
will of God”, but do we really ask God what is His will? It is very much
human that we fail to understand the purpose of God in our lives. Therefore God
said “For
my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways” (Isaiah
55:8). Yes the things we planned for is folly for God. I never dreamed that I
would become a Pastor but my thoughts and my plans were not of His.
Dear
friends, God speaks to His people in different forms through prophecy, vision,
dreams etc. The way He speaks to me may be different from yours. The way He
wants me to be may be different from yours. Whatever ways it is when we respond
to the right calling, I am telling you that you will feel something different
in your lives, you will experience the peace of mind, it is something which
cannot be seen outwardly but you will feel it deep within. Realizing His will
does not limit to serve Him alone, but in everything we do : may be personal
life, family, education, business, profession etc. we need to ask God what is
His will in our lives because one thing which I am certain about is, God has a
purpose for everyone. There is always an opportunity for everyone to seek Him.
In Isaiah 55:6, the Scripture is clear that God gives us chance to seek Him
while He may be found. To seek Him is to
know His will. To be in the will of God is like the train runs in its track.
Once the train runs off-track the consequence is fatal accident, so also we.
Let us think what will be our consequences if we miss the track.
We,
as human being, it is mystery for us to comprehend God, yet He always directs
us if we trust Him, we are to acknowledge Him so that He will make our path
straight and gives us good health too (Prb.3:5-8). Has anyone lacking something
in your life? Are you not satisfied with what you are doing now? Is there
something troubling you? The Bible says “Do
not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s
will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2 NIV). “Perfect
will” does not mean sinless
but it means “mature, fully equipped to accomplish an assigned task, ripe,
complete.”God’s goal for every believer is to grow Christ like maturity. Therefore
let us seek what His will is and accomplish the task which He has given us.
Realize the WILL OF GOD better not late.
